Installing a custom OS #Ubuntu , Xubuntu, #linux distributions.

Facing trouble with ubuntu! Follow me;

The first thing is to know whether you want to install a single OS or dualboot the system with partitioning the drive u have…

*In my case , I have done the dualboot

*The procedure is same for any os installation ,just use the iso file u want to install

If u r to decide with dualboot,follow these steps;

  1. download latest iso file from Ubuntu site or can even take it from a friend.
  2. after installing, download Universal USB installer and run this file by selecting as Ubuntu and in second one select the package address and click on ok.
  3. Wait for few minutes to convert the iso file into bootable os format.
  4. Now send the new file to a USB stick .
  5. Right Click on Windows icon in bottom left and select disk management.
  6. choose a disk that’s empty and select it and right click on it and select shrink volume and set that to min of 200000MB.
  7. You would see the shrinked volume down of this.
  8. now reboot the system and continuously press F2 or F5 or F12(depends on machine) ------* U might require to use Fn key.
  9. now the advanced boot menu appears and click on boot from USB and press enter.
  10. now the Ubuntu gets booted and u need to complete the installation process accordingly by navigating via menu displayed.
  11. now u can directly complete the partitioning process by click install Ubuntu on desktop or from menu.
complete the process and wait for the required drivers to be installed.

That's it! You are done. Enjoy working on your Custom OS.
